Regional WA to climb into a giant new adventure with entertaining Beanstalk tour

CircuitWest is excited to announce Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s Beanstalk as part of its Shows on the Go touring program, bringing this inventive and laugh-filled production to regional communities across Western Australia.

Beanstalk is a hilarious retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk from the giant’s point of view, reimagining the classic tale inside Brian’s cloud-making kitchen. Full of wit, heart and imagination, it delivers laughter, surprise and a fresh perspective on a familiar story.

The production is created by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, an organisation celebrated for its inventive storytelling and visually rich puppetry that continues to captivate audiences of all ages.

Philip Mitchell, Artistic Director of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre says, “At Spare Parts, we love finding the unexpected angle, the story beneath the story, the voice that doesn’t always get heard. Beanstalk does exactly that, flipping the fairytale on its head to let Brian the giant finally set the record straight about that rascal Jack. We’re thrilled to be touring this show across regional Western Australia and bringing some giant-sized laughs to audiences who deserve great live theatre on their doorstep.”

CircuitWest’s Shows on the Go is an important program enabling professional performing arts to reach audiences in regional and outer metropolitan communities across Western Australia, ensuring access to high-quality live performance regardless of location.

Philippa Maughan, Executive Director of CircuitWest says, “Shows on the Go is about ensuring regional and outer metropolitan communities have genuine access to extraordinary live performance experiences. This kind of touring is vital; it strengthens connection and brings high-quality arts experiences directly into the heart of communities. Beanstalk is a perfect example – bold, charming, and beautifully crafted theatre that will resonate with audiences of all ages across regional Western Australia.”

This tour is coordinated by CircuitWest and is proudly supported by the WA Government.
