Western Australia's Only Performing Arts Technical Conference

TechWest Conference is Western Australia’s only professional development event dedicated to the technical and production aspects of the performing arts. It is an essential event for anyone working backstage – venue technicians, touring and freelance crew.

Located at the State Theatre Centre from 15th to 17th September 2026, the Conference features:

Professional Development designed by technicians, for technicians, to strengthen the knowledge of the technical sector and support venues and presenters to deliver worldclass experiences.
The TechWest Trade Show, featuring our conference sponsors, allows technicians to gain insights into the latest technologies and products central to the operation of arts venues and events while developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.

There are a range of registration types available depending on whether you are a CircuitWest member, an organisation or freelancer. You can read more about registering below.

Registration types & pricing

Registration types for TechWest Conference 2026 are listed below:

Metro & Outer Metro CircuitWest Members are entitled to one complimentary registration
Regional & Remote CircuitWest Members are entitled to one complimentary registration which includes travel & accomodation bursary
Additional Member registration $250.00 + GST via invoice (conference only, not including travel & accommodation)
Non-member registration $250.00 + GST via invoice (conference only, not including travel & accommodation)
Freelance Technician TechWest Amplifier Bursary thanks to the generosity of our TechWest Amplifier donors, this year we are offering several funded registration places for freelance technicians (conference only, not including travel & accommodation)

Registering additional members

If there are additional team members that you would like to be considered for a supported registration, you must complete the registration form by Friday 4th September 2026. Once all CircuitWest members have had the opportunity to complete their first registrations, additional registrations will be allocated based on capacity, need & budget availability. Additional registrations will be confirmed by Tuesday 8th September 2026.
