Bringing Arts to the Islands
The Indian Ocean Territories Tour is an annual performing arts program that brings professional, presenter-chosen productions to Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Entirely community-driven, the tour reflects the unique tastes and interests of the islands, with local presenters selecting each year’s acts.
The tour is coordinated each year by CircuitWest.
The Indian Ocean Territories Tour is proudly supported by the Australian Government and the WA Government.

Aliwah Bardinar!
A Colourful Noongar Story Comes to the Indian Ocean Territories
CircuitWest will tour the vibrant children’s production Aliwah Bardinar! (Look Out Rosella!) by Breaksea.
Created by award-winning composers Gina Williams-Ghouse and Guy Ghouse, known for acclaimed productions Wanjoo and Koolbardi wer Wardong, Aliwah Bardinar! brings to life the Noongar creation story of how the bardinar, the western rosella, received its beautiful colours.
This Breaksea production combines playful puppetry, energetic dance, stunning costumes and original music in an immersive theatrical experience. Audiences will meet a cheeky frog, an elegant swan and a hilarious willy wagtail, while enjoying lively storytelling, singing and bilingual dialogue in Noongar and English.
“I am so thrilled to be touring our beautiful little Bardinar across the waters to the Indian Oceans Territories! Matt, Pia and our wonderful friends at Breaksea have weaved magic into this little creation story and I’m certain it will delight all who come to see it. See you soon!”
